My husband and I have known Maria Cristina since 2000, when we were looking for a house to buy near Urbino. Maria Cristina turned out to be our greatest ally on more than one occasion in what proved to be a long but exciting journey to buy and renovate our 500 year old farmhouse. She helped us find the house of our dreams, secured us a mortgage with a local bank, advised us as we went through the complicated purchase process, and then supported us in beginning our restoration. Over the years Cristina has helped us with so many aspects of Italian home ownership, from setting up and managing our bank account and all the utilities, organizing moving furniture from Singapore to Italy, setting up our home insurance, and  finding us a cleaner and gardener! Now Maria Cristina is managing the property for us (we have since moved to Los Angeles), and has had to solve many different problems for us, such as the time we ran out of gas over the weekend, or when an electrical storm took down our power! But luckily she is always there for us, and we now delighted to know her as a close friend.
